This design is a result of the client’s desire to take advantage of the site’s prominent waterfront position, this house opens up to the canal while closing itself off from the street allowing for maximum privacy.

The house uses a centralised raised living space to order the living, sleeping, utility, and garaging spaces. The roof floats above, delivering the homes architectural centrepiece whilst also bringing natural light into the living space. The main living and bedroom areas are positioned towards the canal to take in that view. Outdoor entertaining can be enjoyed year- round in a range of well-designed outdoor spaces. An outdoor fireplace takes the edge off brisk nights.
